Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Valid NEBOSH and/or OSHA certification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in the elevator and escalator industry or a similar contracting environment.
- Knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and construction site safety requirements.
- Experience in risk assessments, site inspections, incident investigations, and HSE documentation.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and visit project sites as required.
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team in the elevators and escalators contracting industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and ensuring compliance with applicable UAE regulations and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments at elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and modernization projects.
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and applicable safety standards.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and HSE reports.
- Monitor site activities and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare investigation reports.
- Conduct safety inductions and training for employees and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, clients, and relevant authorities on HSE matters.
- Maintain HSE documentation and ensure safe working practices at all project sites.
