Bimi's Cheese Shop in Chatham, NY is looking for a daytime prep cook to join our small, creative kitchen team. We make simple, beautiful food with high-quality ingredients — from dishes for our full-service restaurant to sandwiches, soups, salads and prepared foods for our shop.
This is a part-time position (approximately 15-30 hours per week), ideal for someone who takes pride in careful, consistent prep work.
What you'll do:
– Prep vegetables, proteins, and sauces for daily service
– Assist with baking, soups, and other prepared foods
– Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow food-safety standards
– Support a friendly, collaborative back-of-house team
Who you are:
– Reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented
– Able to precisely follow written and spoken directions
– Prior kitchen experience preferred, but we'll train the right person
Must be able to carry 30 lbs up and down stairs.
Schedule: Daytime hours, roughly 20 hours/week.
Pay: $20–$25/hour, based on experience
