Job Scope
Maintains all bakery equipment, buildings and grounds; ensures safe and efficient operations of bakery equipment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and installation of bakery equipment, buildings and grounds; ensures safe and efficient operations of bakery equipment.
2. Makes necessary adjustments to bakery equipment during production; ensures high production and product quality levels.
3. Performs regular equipment, building and ground inspections; communicates potential problems and safety issues to immediate supervisor.
4. Performs daily and shift work assignments in a timely and efficient manner; documents activities through daily shift reports. Must be willing to work 1st 2nd or 3rd shift.
5. Maintains a safe and clean work environment; ensures parts and tools are in good operating order and properly stored and performs general housekeeping of all maintenance areas.
6. Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs, pushing, pulling and moving objects weighing up to 100lbs plus using carts or dollies. Repetitive motion bending, reaching, stooping, squatting and sitting. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.
KNOWLEDGE
Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, welding, hydraulics and pneumatics.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); General maintenance experience preferred but not required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Irregular hours required. Occasional exposure to extreme weather situations. Must be able to work in an area that contains dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, noise levels higher than normal and heights. Protective equipment is provided.
