Position Summary
Bimbo Bakeries US is seeking summer intern candidates passionate about brands and learning more about marketing within CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods). This person should demonstrate a passion for business, a willingness to build recommendations to support key brand growth, and an eagerness to learn and grow while uncovering consumer insights and key analytics. This person will join a dynamic and energetic marketing team developing strategies to drive sales and market share on one of our critical businesses. Key brands in the BBU portfolio include Thomas’, Sara Lee, Entenmann’s, Oroweat, Ball Park and Little Bites.
MBA Summer Associate in Marketing will solve a well-defined strategic business problem or opportunity within new industry categories, existing product and brand portfolio, or related to a new product launch to grow our brands. Summer Associates will also have exposure to company operations, including visits to bakeries, sales/delivery route rides and retailer market tours. The internship will also allow associates to interact with senior executives throughout the company, including presenting project analysis and recommendations to C-level executives.

Key Responsibilities
The program will provide the following opportunities:
- Project ownership: Complete assigned project from kick-off to recommendation development and presentation to Senior Leadership
- Data analysis / Data-driven decision making: Conduct various analyses (e.g., consumer segmentation, market sizing, competitor analysis) to identify key insights and opportunities for BBU using internal and external databases and tools
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Navigate the organization and work with other functions within BBU, such as marketing, innovation, consumer insights, category management, R&D and supply chain to ensure alignment of strategic recommendations
- Actionable Results: Produce actionable and relevant insights, recommendations and project results, integral to the business in the form of PowerPoint Presentations and Excel Financial Models
- Consumer Centricity: Curiosity for learning about the needs and wants of our consumers and addressing those gaps through marketing or innovation
- Problem Solving Ability Comfortable working on broad assignments, breaking down “big picture” questions and problems into smaller components along the way

- Must be available for 12-week, full-time position from late-May to mid-August
- 3 years' work experience
- Experience in the following areas is preferred: marketing, management consulting, finance, operations, supply chain, commercial or growth strategy, market research, project management
- Experience with consumer-packaged goods and/or large retailers preferred
