Key Job Responsibilities : #LI-SO1
- Advise internal clients on the full range of employment and labor law issues, including hiring, leave and accommodation, discipline, termination, wage and hour compliance, and compliance.
- Manage labor and employment claims, arbitrations, and litigation including oversight and management of outside counsel
- Review and provide guidance on drafting, developing, and enforcement of employment and HR-related policies and procedures
- Counsel Human Relations, Labor, and all levels of operations management on handling employee relations matters, including employee discipline and investigations
- Review and respond to pre-litigation employment and labor claims
- Draft and review employment documents including severance agreements, retention agreements, offer letters, and repayment agreements
- Serve as subject matter expert for OFCCP audits, WARN, and state paid leave laws.
- Proactively identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within the labor and employment area and advise the business accordingly
- Prepare and present training on employment and labor issues
- Identify and implement internal processes to increase efficiency using technology and otherwise.
