Job Description
Biltmore is seeking a Lodging Revenue Analyst to help support the decision making of Lodging Revenue Management team. They will be responsible for developing and enhancing critical reporting and analysis using data vitalization tools. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the industry, market, analytical principles and research methodology. In addition, the Lodging Revenue Analyst will provide recommendations and execute strategies that align with lodging business goals. The candidate should be able to successfully cultivate collaborative relationships with Reservation Sales & Guest Support, Sales Training, Marketing, and Front Desk teams to ensure goal alignment.
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop reporting that aligns with the strategic goals of the lodging division.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis & recommendations to leadership in the interest of profitability.
- Assist in pricing decisions in the absence of Lodging Revenue Managers to ensure revenue optimization.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs critical to meeting budgeted goals
- Partner closely with marketing, sales operations, and lodging stakeholders to improve understanding of data and current market climate.
- Serve as business analyst for IDeaS G3 RMS, Sabre/Synxis Central Reservation System, and Power BI.
- Analyze product performance including rooms, rates, packages, events
- Review & analyze rate plan production, make recommendations based on LOS, ADR, RevPar, and overall revenue production.
- Provide weekly and monthly analysis on STR reports and market trends
- Execute the Daily Summary each morning informing department heads of current business trajectory.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the efforts of the Lodging Revenue Coordinator
- Assist with preparation of daily, weekly and monthly forecasts.
- Review new reservations on a daily basis and alert RM if demand/volume spikes or rates need adjusting.
- Analyze channel performance to inform stakeholders of shifts in production or potential opportunities for revenue growth.
- Assist with Operations Forecasts and ensure that rooms forecast falls within a reasonable variance.
- Stay current on industry and market trends
Qualifications:
1. Some college preferred. Additional education or training preferred.
2. At least three (3) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Ideal candidate will have had prior hotel front office experience. Understanding of revenue management a plus.
3. Strong interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills.
4. Works well independently with little to no daily supervision
5. Outstanding attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy; must have solid organizational, project and time management skills
6. Knowledge of Sabre CRS, IDeaS RMS, Excel, Word, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Outlook strongly preferred
8. Ability to quickly learn Biltmore's reservation and property management systems
9. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills preferred
10. Ability to creatively problem solve, exercise good judgment, and take initiative
11. Demonstrated ability to deliver world class internal and external guest service
Qualifications:
1. The incumbent will work predominantly in an office environment
2. The incumbent will be required to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
3. Remain sitting for 80% of the shift
4. Utilize office machinery throughout shift
