Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for various projects, supporting the engineering and fabrication teams. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced CAD software to develop detailed plans and models. The position requires a strong foundation in drafting, civil, mechanical, and architectural design, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD
- Create blueprints, and technical documentation aligned with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate CAD drawings.
- Assist in the development of civil and mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to ensure precision and clarity.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy retrieval and updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drafting using AutoCAD; familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of civil or mechanical design principles and schematics creation.
- Proficiency in CAD software for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of construction processes and industry standards.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into detailed drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with 2D animation is a plus but not required. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about technical design and innovation within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
Pay: $26.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
