Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Flat Rate Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles efficiently while meeting productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.
This is a performance-based position where compensation is tied directly to flagged hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
- Accurately document findings and recommended repairs
- Complete work efficiently to maximize flagged hours while maintaining quality
- Perform routine services including brakes, suspension, engine repair, electrical, and drivability diagnostics
- Follow manufacturer and dealership procedures for all repairs
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a flat-rate, performance-driven environment
- Valid driver’s license
- NYS Inspector’s License
- Own tools required
