Job description:
Billy Bob's Repair is a family-owned and operated Medium/heavy-duty truck & trailer repair shop. We see all kinds of repairs in our shop from Ag Tractors, trailers, light duty diesels, to large over-the-road and oil field equipment. We are located in San Antonio, TX. We have a new 15,000 sq ft shop and 5 service trucks. We work on all makes and models of medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers. We are seeking an experienced tire technician to join our team. We have a low turnover rate. We are a shop with tools and equipment like a dealership with great employees, managers and owners. No drama, great work environment. The owner works in the shop and the field almost every day!
Key Responsibilities
- Install, mount, balance, rotate, and repair commercial and passenger tires
- Inspect tires, wheels, and related components for safety and serviceability
- Perform tire replacements and roadside service as needed
- Accurately complete service documentation before and after work is performed
- Ensure customer vehicles are treated with care and returned in equal or better conditions
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work bay
- Follow all proper safety and installation procedures
- Assist with unloading, stacking, and disposal of tires
- Maintain proper care and maintenance of shop tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with office staff and supervisors regarding service needs
- Participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule
- Work occasional Saturdays as business demands require
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of tire technician experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to regularly lift and maneuver tires weighing 75 pounds
- Strong understanding of tire service procedures and safety standards
- Dependable, punctual, and professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able and willing to work in outdoor environment for periods of time
- Must be able to work with others and communicate with customers in a professional manner
