Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator & Automation Engineer to support enterprise operations across on-premises datacenters and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ansible automation, security compliance, and DevOps practices. This role involves system administration, security hardening, infrastructure automation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT services.
Key Responsibilities
40% System Administration and Automation
- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across multiple environments.
- Perform account management, troubleshooting, and shell scripting to support daily Linux operations.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Install, configure, and manage Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including controllers and execution environments.
- Automate patch promotion, errata handling, and compliance workflows using Red Hat Satellite.
20% Security and Compliance
- Apply DISA STIG hardening standards and ensure adherence to Customer and NIST security policies.
- Manage PKI infrastructure, including digital certificates and key lifecycle processes.
- Implement and manage SELinux policies, firewall rules, and system access controls.
- Monitor system logs, analyze security events, and respond to incidents.
15% DevOps and Containerization
- Manage and support containerized applications using Podman or Docker.
- Support the installation, configuration, and operation of GitLab for CI/CD pipeline workflows.
- Collaborate with development teams to align automation efforts with application delivery processes.
15% Infrastructure Integration
- Automate integration across datacenter and cloud services, enabling consistent infrastructure operations.
- Administer VMware vSphere environments including VM provisioning, scaling, and resource optimization.
- Support hybrid cloud deployments and cloud-native automation initiatives.
10% Documentation and Collaboration
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date technical documentation for systems, automations, and operational procedures.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and training to peers and junior team members.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to support enterprise IT and modernization initiatives.
Salary : $40 - $60
