Position Details
- Job Type: Part-Time (16-20 hours per week)
- Schedule: Friday β Saturday (Occasional flexibility will be required for special events and peak season coverage).
- Compensation: $16-18 per hour
Key Responsibilities
As the Retail Storefront Team Member, you will be responsible for the full retail customer experience, including:
- Customer Engagement: Providing exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable service to all customers. This involves answering questions about product origins, preparation methods, and offering recommendations.
- Retail Operations: Managing daily sales transactions, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, and ensuring accurate end-of-day reporting.
- Product Management: Receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to ensure the highest standards of freshness and quality. This includes proper handling and display of fresh and frozen seafood products.
- Merchandising & Presentation: Creating attractive, clean, and well-organized product displays that highlight our premium offerings and maximize sales.
- Store Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations (HACCP/food safety).
- Inventory & Ordering: Assisting with inventory counts and communicating product needs to management to ensure we are always stocked with market favorites.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail, grocery, or food service environment. Experience with seafood or meat is a significant advantage.
- Schedule Reliability: The ability to commit to the consistent Friday-Saturdayschedules.
- Customer Focus: A genuinely outgoing and positive personality with a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience.
- Knowledge: A desire to learn and become an expert on various seafood species, sourcing, and preparation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work comfortably in a refrigerated environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality control, cleanliness, and handling high-value products.
