BWE Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on field position supporting civil, utility, and general construction projects.
This is a union position. Candidates must be willing and able to join the applicable union as required for the position.
Responsibilities
- Place, spread, level, and finish concrete.
- Finish sidewalks, curbs, pads, slabs, foundations, and other concrete structures.
- Perform broom, smooth, and other specified finishes.
- Set forms and establish proper grades and elevations.
- Use screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, power trowels, saws, vibrators, and other concrete tools.
- Install expansion and control joints.
- Patch and repair existing concrete.
- Assist with concrete demolition and site preparation as needed.
- Read basic plans, measurements, grades, and elevations.
- Work closely with Foremen, Operators, Laborers, and other crew members.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow all Company, customer, and job-site safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Previous concrete finishing experience required.
- Experience with civil, utility, roadway, or heavy construction preferred.
- Must be able to independently perform concrete finishing work.
- Must be willing to join the applicable union.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require.
- Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
