Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Dispatcher. We specialize in both heavy-duty and light-duty towing services and are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and can coordinate efficiently with drivers and law enforcement agencies. Previous towing dispatch experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, assess, and prioritize incoming service calls, especially during high-volume graveyard and weekend hours.
- Dispatch heavy-duty and light-duty tow trucks efficiently based on availability and proximity.
- Maintain constant communication with drivers, police agencies, and customers to ensure accurate ETAs and job updates.
- Document all service calls, dispatch times, and outcomes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with local police departments and other public agencies, especially for accident and impound calls.
- Monitor GPS and dispatch software to track truck locations and adjust assignments as needed.
- Ensure all drivers adhere to company safety standards and response protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous dispatch experience (towing industry preferred).
- Familiarity with police dispatch protocols and working with emergency responders.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Proficiency with computers and dispatching software.
- Able and willing to work overnight (graveyard) and weekend shifts reliably.
- Towing industry knowledge or experience is a plus.
