Project Management

After projects are awarded, you will help manage them from inception through completion, including:

  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors
  • Scheduling material deliveries and equipment
  • Obtaining pricing and scheduling cranes, rental equipment, concrete deliveries, and other project needs
  • Reviewing and assisting with contracts
  • Working with owners, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Preparing and managing project schedules
  • Processing submittals and coordinating approvals
  • Preparing invoices, change orders, and other project documentation
  • Monitoring project costs, profitability, and progress
  • Helping ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Managing and supporting field superintendents and employees to ensure accountability, quality workmanship, productivity, and a safe work environment

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Five or more years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience
  • Experience using Accubid or similar electrical estimating software

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Internet and web-based applications
  • Electrical estimating and project management software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to identify profitable opportunities and understand the financial side of electrical construction

Field experience is a major plus. If you have worked in the electrical field as an electrician, foreman, superintendent, or in another hands-on role, please be sure to include that experience when applying.
