Automotive Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Based on experience and productivity
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This position is primarily focused on completing quality automotive repairs, replacing worn or damaged components, and performing routine maintenance services. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to perform basic to intermediate diagnostics and accurately identify necessary repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs and component replacements efficiently and accurately
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling system, engine, electrical, and general mechanical repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance and vehicle inspections
- Diagnose basic to intermediate mechanical and electrical concerns
- Review inspection findings and clearly document recommended repairs
- Follow approved repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Verify repairs through testing and quality-control inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work closely with service advisors and management to complete repairs on schedule
- Properly use and maintain shop tools and diagnostic equipment
Qualifications
- Previous professional automotive repair experience required
- Strong ability to remove, repair, and replace automotive components
- Basic to intermediate diagnostic capabilities
- Ability to read repair information, wiring diagrams, and technical service procedures
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must provide basic automotive hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required
