Household Assistant (Part-Time)

The Short Version

We're a busy two-parent household in Daybreak looking for a reliable, detail-oriented household assistant to help keep our home running smoothly. We're both executives in the middle of launching a new company, and when we're not working, we want to spend our time with our kids, not folding laundry or figuring out what's for dinner on Tuesday.

Here's the honest truth about this role: it's pretty chill. There's no hovering, no micromanaging, no drama. You come in, take care of what needs to happen, and go about your day. What You'll Actually Do

- Meal planning and prep: Plan weekly meals, prep ingredients or full meals, and pack lunches for the family. One of us manages an autoimmune condition through diet, so meals need to stay within specific guidelines (simple, whole-food ingredients, nothing overly processed). The basics are admittedly pretty boring. If you're the kind of cook who can make simple ingredients taste amazing without reaching for a bunch of additives, we will genuinely celebrate you.

- Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and put away. Keep the cycle moving so it never becomes a mountain.

- General household upkeep: Light cleaning, tidying, and keeping shared spaces organized and functional.

- Errands: Grocery runs, pickups, drop-offs, and other household errands as needed.

- Organization: Help us stay on top of household systems, whether that's the pantry, the kids' stuff, or seasonal tasks.

You won't be micromanaged. We'll share what needs to happen, and you'll make it happen.

One important note: Our home is a low-fragrance, low-chemical environment due to health sensitivities. Natural products and essential oils are totally fine, but we skip the synthetic fragrances, heavy perfumes, and chemical-laden cleaners. We supply all the cleaning products, so you don't need to bring your own. Just restock with organic replacements as things run out. If that's already how you roll, great. If not, just something to be aware of before applying.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

- Reliable and consistent. You show up when you say you will.

- Self-directed. You see what needs doing and do it without being asked.

- Good organizational instincts. You naturally create systems and keep things tidy.

- Comfortable cooking with dietary restrictions. You don't need to be a chef, but you should be able to work within a limited ingredient list and still make food the family actually wants to eat.

- Willing to work in a low-fragrance, low-chemical environment (natural products and essential oils are fine, but no synthetic fragrances or heavy perfumes).

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for errands).

- Able to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves:

- Previous experience in a household assistant, personal assistant, or nanny role.

- Familiarity with meal prepping or batch cooking, especially for restricted diets (AIP, anti-inflammatory, whole-food based).

- Experience managing a household calendar or running errands for a busy family.
