What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Associate position at Bill Good Marketing?
Client Service Associate
Full-Time | In-Person | State College, PA
Some offices feel like a revolving door. Strong Tower Associates isn't one of them. We're a small, close-knit financial planning firm in State College, and we're hiring a Client Service Associate to be the heartbeat of our day-to-day operations. No finance degree required. No prior industry experience required. Just someone sharp, personable, and ready to learn.
What You'll Do
You'll be the person clients hear when they call and see when they walk in. You'll keep the office running smoothly so our advisors and agents can focus on their clients. Day to day, that looks like:
- Answering phones and welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism
- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars across the team
- Preparing and organizing client documents and correspondence
- Supporting office operations and keeping administrative workflows on track
- Helping coordinate client events and educational workshops
- Learning our systems and processes with an eye toward growing into more responsibility over time
- Completing paperwork with clients and tracking it from start to finish
What We're Looking For
We're not hiring based on a checklist. We're hiring for character, capability, and fit. That said, here's what we need:
Must-haves:
- A track record of showing up and doing good work (professional experience, internships, or a combination)
- Comfort working directly with clients or customers in a professional setting
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a multi-step process without dropping the ball
- Genuine warmth and a service-first mindset
- Professionalism you'd be proud to put in front of any client
- Comfort with basic math (percentages, basic arithmetic, simple algebra)
Nice to have:
- Experience in financial services, banking, or insurance
- Familiarity with CRM software or office management tools
- Health and life insurance license, Series 65 or other financial services licensing
- A bachelor's degree or coursework in a related field
A Note on Licensing
This role doesn't require any licenses to start. Once you're settled in, we'll support you in obtaining your Series 65 and/or insurance license, and there's a pay increase that comes with it.
Where This Can Go
We're a small firm, which means the right person gets real exposure. If you want to build a long-term career in financial services, this is a legitimate place to start. We'd rather grow someone than cycle through people.

Submit your resume and a brief note on your background. Candidates who meet the initial criteria will be contacted directly.
