Overview
Bill Doran is a family-owned wholesale florist that was founded in Rockford, Il in 1945. We have since grown to 24 locations in 12 states. Our Herrin, IL location is seeking to fill two part-time delivery driver openings. We are seeking individuals that are customer service oriented, possess good organizational and time management skills, and are committed to safety and efficiently operating a vehicle.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently operate our delivery vans to deliver fresh flowers & floral supplies to our customers' retail flower shops. No overnight deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and professionally.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues.
- Collect signatures on all invoices delivered and payments, when applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with route driving and heavy lifting required; must be comfortable moving large or heavy items.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform manual tasks related to loading/unloading.
- A positive attitude and self-starter with the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Present self with well groomed, clean and neat appearance.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Reliable transportation for daily shifts and flexibility to work part-time hours as scheduled. This position is essential for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
