Residential Estimator - Greenville, NC

Bill Clark Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Estimator to join our team in Greenville, NC. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate cost estimates for residential home plans, options, materials, and labor.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential construction, strong analytical skills, and the ability to read construction plans and specifications. Experience with construction estimating software and ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates for residential homes, options, and upgrades.
• Review construction plans and specifications to determine material quantities and costs.
• Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Maintain current pricing for materials, labor, and subcontracted work.
• Update estimates as plans, specifications, and costs change.
• Identify discrepancies and opportunities for cost savings.
• Work with purchasing, construction, drafting, and operations teams to ensure accurate and consistent estimates.
• Maintain organized cost databases and estimating records.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction, estimating, purchasing, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret residential construction plans and specifications.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Timberline, BuilderMT, Hyphen Homefront, or similar construction estimating and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with residential construction materials, labor costs, subcontractor pricing, and material takeoffs.
• Experience with production or semi-custom homebuilding.
