Speech Language Pathologist in Shelton, CT

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful onsite role supporting students’ communication needs throughout the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working within a dynamic school environment. Starting August 2026 and continuing through May 2027, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students succeed.

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Current and active state SLP license, along with valid Educator Certification
• Prior schools-based SLP experience is required
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with various caseloads and grade levels, as represented by caseload assignments determined at the beginning of the assignment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across multiple grade levels and diverse needs
• Perform evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), track progress, and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Participate thoughtfully in IEP meetings, consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Provide tailored interventions that foster student growth and support academic achievement
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation throughout the school year
• Adjust approaches and caseload focus as needed in response to student or district needs
