Bilingual Education Institute is recruiting English Language Instructors for our courses to teach the ESL classes to refugees. We offer in-person courses to teach in the evenings.
Our students come from all over the world.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of ESL students.
- Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to enhance student understanding.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their language development.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate ESL strategies into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ESL education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in ESL or related fields, with a 2-year minimum requirement.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning atmosphere.
- Experience in lesson planning specific to ESL instruction.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in ESL teaching are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students from various cultural backgrounds. Experience working with adults is preferred.
