PARTS COUNTER SALESPERSON
Customer service experience REQUIRED. Automobile experience/knowledge REQUIRED. Position consists of :
Ability to receive customers, establish rapport, and determine and attend to customers’ needs
Ability to match customers’ needs with appropriate parts
Knowledge of automotive systems in general
Knowledge of and ability to monitor inventory
Knowledge of parts counter procedures, such as requiring prepayment for special orders, etc.
Ability to search part numbers and use the computer
Ability to accurately track parts
Receive and fill telephone orders for parts
Receive payment or obtain credit card authorization
Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about replacement parts or refunds
Locate and tag parts and maintain inventory of stock
Manage shipments by researching shipping methods or costs and tracking packages
Maintain and clean office and inventory areas
Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money
