Position Summary

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Solar Equipment Engineer! In this crucial role, you'll ensure the seamless operation of our machinery and equipment by performing preventive maintenance, optimizing throughput, troubleshooting issues, and repairing and upgrading equipment. Your expertise will help maintain the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our manufacturing processes, contributing significantly to our overall productivity and success.

Our facility also produces an innovative, ultralight, 17-pound 520w module, designed for commercial rooftops and low-load-bearing structures, bringing solar to places traditional panels can’t reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in upholding all company safety protocols
  • Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair all solar-module manufacturing equipment in facility
  • Continuously monitor and improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other KPIs as directed
  • Maintain all solar module manufacturing equipment and keep meticulous records of equipment performance, equipment/part failures, machine downtime, and solutions/corrective actions to problems to create a detailed and accessible database of Lessons Learned
  • Guide, train, and coach new equipment technicians in proper machine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Cooperate and work with cross-functional departments as needed.

Skills

  • Must know MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be able to read and understand IEC prints
  • PLC experience (AB, Seimens)
  • Strong sense of responsibility/ownership and excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Must be able to adapt and respond to the ever-changing demands for the companies need.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to mentor / train junior members of the staff
  • Must be a self-starter, must take the lead in your development with equipment.

Qualifications: Associate Degree in technical/ related field or equivalent work experience

Experience: 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance in high-speed manufacturing environment
