Achieve Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Direct Support Professional tosupport a family caring for a medically fragile child with complex needs. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference by providing hands‑on assistance, emotional support, and essential help within the home.
About the Role
The child is non‑verbal, non‑ambulatory, G‑tube dependent, and requires full assistance with all activities of daily living. The family is experiencing significant caregiver strain due to ongoing nursing and CDPAP staffing shortages, frequent nighttime disruptions, and the child’s extensive medical needs.
We are looking for a DSP who can help provide structure, supervision, safety, and support during after‑school/evening hours and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support, supervision, and engagement through simple play and sensory activities.
- Help maintain a calm, safe, supportive home environment to give the caregiver relief.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
- Previous experience in patient care or direct support is a plus
