Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product demos when appropriate
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product presentation throughout the store
- Engage customers in upselling opportunities to maximize sales while ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support supervising staff during busy periods, helping oversee daily store operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills
- Previous retail sales experience, especially in grocery or similar environments, is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills in bilingual settings to connect with diverse customer bases
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and stock replenishment procedures
- Experience in cashiering combined with supervising experience to guide team members effectively
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Capable of conducting product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities
