What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT or PT Weekend Maint Tech position at Bighorn Rentals?
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to take care of routine maintenance functions in the properties we manage. The specific duties of a Maintenance Technician include general handyman services, project coordination with outside contractors, billing to and communication with owners, use of a computerized work order system, ensure all properties are stocked adequately and up-to-date, property inspection, general servicing of private hot tubs, and light office duties.
Responsibilities
- Purchase maintenance parts, unit supplies and inventory items
- Perform handyman fixes as needed in properties
- Become familiar with each property's ins and outs over time
- Learn how to perform more handyman fixes over time
- Adjust chemicals, drain/fill and generally be familiar with private hot tubs
- Perform pre-arrival inspections
- Perform off-season maintenance inspections
- Take on-call duty 1-2 nights per week
Skills
- Prior work experience as Maintenance Tech preferred
- Willingness to learn
- Wide variety of basic handyman skills needed
- Eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Two - Four year college degree preferred
Compensation is based on experience with additional compensation available over time to the right individual who can demonstrate the ability to complete all tasks successfully as well as in a timely manner, grow into a bigger role and handle responsibility. The starting pay range is $28 to $30 per hour plus end of season bonuses. Schedule could be full time (Thursday through Monday) or part time for the right person but working both weekend days is required. Shifts are generally 11-7 on weekdays and 9-5 on weekends.
