What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Core Faculty position at BIGH Management LLC?
Healthy U is currently seeking a dynamic Board Certified Family Medicine Physician Core Faculty with ability and desire for teaching.
- Commit to an average of 3 days a week to residency teaching, advising, lecturing, and precepting
- Precept up to 2 days a week in clinic
- 1 day a week dedicated to administrative duties for advising, creating lectures, and curriculum review
- Teach and supervise residents and medical students in the outpatient clinic
- Participate in the medical education and evaluation of residents and medical students using the core competencies set forth by the ACGME:
- One-on-one discussion regarding the care of every patient seen in the FMC.
- Review of patient’s History and Physical exam. This may include a face-to-face discussion with the patient to confirm or elicit history. The preceptor may need to repeat parts of the physical exam to confirm findings.
- Direct supervision of all procedures
- Evaluation of the resident/student’s fund of knowledge
- Evaluation of the resident/student’s diagnostic process
- Evaluation of treatment options and follow up care
- Critique of the resident/student’s case presentation
- Critique of the resident/student’s documentation in the medical record
- Co-sign all encounters with appropriate attestation
- Provide written feedback on all residents supervised in clinic
- Provide didactic lectures
- Communicate with other residency faculty and program director regarding clinic processes and function. Providing feedback regarding staff and physician performance.
- Participating in scholarship with resident presentations and quality improvement
- MD or DO physician faculty hired by the residency program to teach
- Family Medicine Board certified
- Arizona State License
- Able to be credentialed on all major health insurance plans
