Biggs Property Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team to support and maintain the integrity and functionality of our new community! As the lifeblood that keeps the property running smoothly, the maintenance technician's role is crucial in providing an outstanding living experience for our residents.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with high standards in maintenance quality. They display professionalism in all tasks and interactions, ensuring company standards are upheld. This role requires someone who works well independently, has strong time management and customer service skills, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Service Requests: Promptly respond to and efficiently complete service requests as assigned by the property manager.
- Time Management: Complete all assigned work in a timely manner, effectively prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Outsourcing Judgment: Make accurate assessments of situations that require external professional services.
Characteristics of the maintenance tech we hire:
- Proven experience in a maintenance position with a portfolio of general handy work.
- Own set of tools and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to adapt to various job conditions and respond to emergency calls.
- Demonstrated mechanical skills, with a keen eye for safety and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clear expression.
- Ability to make sound decisions and exhibit initiative in undertaking new responsibilities and challenges.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
