Host / Hostess Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and energetic attitude


• Manage reservations and seating assignments using our reservation system


• Maintain an organized host stand and front‑of‑house area


• Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations during peak hours


• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and highlight specials or promotions


• Assist with special requests, including accessibility needs, high chairs, and preferred seating


• Answer guest questions, resolve concerns, and communicate issues to management


• Coordinate with servers and front‑of‑house staff to maintain smooth guest flow


• Maintain strong menu and beverage knowledge to assist guests


• Manage the waitlist during busy periods and keep guests informed


• Support cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the front‑of‑house


• Thank guests upon departure and gather feedback to enhance the guest experience

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment


• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities


• Positive attitude and professional appearance


• Basic computer skills for reservation and seating systems


• Ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods


• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs


• Comfortable navigating crowded spaces


• Must be 16 years or older


• Weekend availability required
