We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities-Elementary Teacher Grade 1
Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Start date: January 5, 2026 start date (with possibility of 2-3 additional days the week of December 14, 2025 for on-boarding and training, etc.
FTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days in a full school year
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract 2023-2025. Salary range listed ($46,417-$98,146) is a full-year salary, which will be prorated for starting mid-way through the school year, and is based on the collective bargaining agreement for 2024-2025 school year and may increase as the 2025-2026 collective bargaining agreement has yet to be negotiated. Full-time (1.0 FTE) certified staff benefits.
