You can shoot it, edit it, and be in it. That’s rare. Most creators do one well. We’re looking for someone who does all three — and can walk into a client’s restaurant, law firm, or dealership alongside another creator and come out with four finished Reels before lunch.

The Role

You never shoot alone. Every Big Wave shoot runs as a two-person crew — you and another creator, working in sync to move fast and cover more ground. A typical week looks like this: you and your partner arrive at a client site in Queens for a 2-hour batch shoot. The Account Manager has already done the strategy work — they show up with the hook ideas, reference videos, content angles, and a clear brief so you walk in knowing exactly what you’re building. Your job is to execute it, elevate it, and make it perform.

By Friday, four finished Reels are uploaded and approved. Rinse, repeat.

What makes this role different from every other creator gig in NYC: you’re not just a pair of hands. You’re a collaborator. The AM brings the strategy and the references — you bring the creative eye, the technical execution, and when the content calls for it, your face. You’ll be on camera in UGC formats, presenter-style pieces, and walk-and-talks when the concept needs it.

What You’ll Own

• Shoot batch content sessions as part of a two-person crew at client locations across NYC and surrounding areas

• Execute briefs from Account Managers — they bring the strategy, hooks, and references; you bring them to life on camera and in the edit

• Edit 4 finished Reels per shoot within a 4-day turnaround

• Appear on camera when content calls for it — UGC formats, presenter-style, voiceovers

• Contribute creative instincts in the moment — if you see a better angle or a stronger hook on location, say it

• Deliver wrap reports and BTS content after each shoot

• Maintain Big Wave’s performance-first standard — pretty doesn’t matter, views do

What You Bring

• You shoot, edit, and perform — all three, not just one

• Strong collaborator — you work well in a two-person crew and take direction without ego

• Proficiency in CapCut Desktop, Premiere, or Final Cut

• Your own gear: laptop, DJI Mic Mini 2 or RØDE Wireless Go, SmallRig phone rig or similar

• Strong instinct for short-form hooks — you watch content to study it, not just scroll it

• Fast turnaround without excuses — 4-day SLA is non-negotiable

• Client-facing personality — you’re comfortable walking into any business and owning the shoot
