What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Director - Drama position at Big Walnut Local School District?
The Big Walnut Local School District is seeking qualified applicants for the below position with our theatre department beginning the 2025/2026 school year:
- Technical Director (Drama) - one-year supplemental contract
Interested BWEA bargaining unit members must apply no later than September 30, 2025.
Duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Design, create, build and decorate props and special effects for theater productions
- Coordinate stage design and layout with the stage director
- Assist in ordering materials and supplies for productions
- Ensure safety procedures are followed in set design and layouts
- Work with students under teacher's direction
- Configure theater seating for productions
- Write and distribute promotional theater material for marketing
- Attend performances for newspapers, display, and staff use
- Perform other duties as assigned
