Classification: Exempt, Full-time
Reports To: Commercial Center Operations Manager
Work Locations: BVR Commercial Center Complex
Salary: $80,000-$85,000 DOE
Schedule: The standard work schedule is 40( ) hours per week. Flexibility is required to support offsite events, which may include evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours.
Position Summary
The IT Specialist II (IT 2) supports multiple BVR Commercial operations, including Market & Fuel, Starbucks, Economic Development, and the Car Wash, by providing tier 1 and 2 technical support across all locations. This role involves hands-on work with POS systems, network switches and firewalls, and security camera systems to ensure the reliable operation of critical business technologies. The IT Specialist II serves as a key technical resource, responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing systems maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and implementing systems improvements. This position plays a vital role in supporting revenue-generating operations, enhancing customer experience, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functionality of all IT systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
· Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for hardware, software, and business application issues
· Troubleshoot issues from staff and Tribal IT helpdesk
· Support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
· Troubleshoot connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
Systems & Network Maintenance:
· Maintain routers, switches, and firewalls
· Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventative maintenance
· Ensure backups and data recovery systems are functioning
· Monitor performance and recommend improvements
POS & Business Operations Support:
· Support all business systems and applications at BVR Commercial Center Complex
· Troubleshoot transactional, payment processing, and receipt issues
· Coordinate with vendors for POS and fuel system support
· Ensure uptime of critical business systems through periodic monitoring and review
Surveillance & Camera Systems:
· Maintain and monitor surveillance (CCTV) systems across all locations
· Ensure cameras are operational and recording properly
· Troubleshoot outages and connectivity issues
· Manage user access in compliance with Tribal policies
· Retrieve and export footage for HR, management, and investigations
· Coordinate vendor repairs, upgrades, and installations
· Ensure proper storage and retention of video data
Multi-Site & Field Support:
· Provide on-site and remote support across all facilities
· Travel between locations as needed
· Support Commercial Center staff and operations
Car Wash Systems Support:
· Troubleshoot automated car wash systems and equipment
· Support payment kiosks, control systems, and connectivity
· Coordinate vendor maintenance and repairs
Security & Compliance:
· Manage user access, permissions, and passwords
· Maintain system security and follow Tribal IT policies
· Assist with identifying and responding to security risks
Documentation & Training:
· Document systems, procedures, and issue resolutions
· Provide basic training and support for staff
· Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
· 2–4 years of IT support experience in a networked environment
· Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 experience in a networked environment
· Microsoft 365 user account management experience
· Experience with POS systems, networks, and surveillance systems preferred
· Valid California Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and Microsoft 365
· Understanding of general networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
· Experience with POS and payment processing systems
· Familiarity with CCTV / NVR / DVR systems
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong communication and customer service skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
· Office, retail, and outdoor environments (including car wash facilities)
· May require lifting 50 lbs.
· Frequent walking between locations
· Occasional after-hours or on-call support
· Collaboration with Tribal IT department
Additional Requirements:
· Must follow all BVR Commercial Center policies and procedures
· Must maintain confidentiality, including surveillance data
· Indian Preference applies in accordance with Tribal policies

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
