Local Car Hauler

Big Valley Auto Auction is hiring a Car Hauler. The

position requires an experienced Candidate who will be assigned

primarily to the local area. Candidate must be able to load and unload

up to 2 vehicles onto a car-hauler trailer at any given time, sometimes

several times a day, and must be able tow the trailer safely. Some of

the vehicles may be drivable and some may be inoperable. Candidate

must have experience securing vehicles according to Texas

Department of Transportation requirements. The ability to

problem-solve, work alone, and be self-reliant is essential. Being a

Teamplayer, utilizing time management, and the ability to make sound

decisions is essential. Additionally, candidates must be able to

inspect and photograph vehicles using a computer tablet prior to

taking possession of them.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Vehicle Transportation:

a. Load and secure vehicles onto the car hauler trailer,

ensuring they are stable and protected.

b. Transport vehicles to designated locations, adhering to all

traffic laws and regulations.

2. Safety and Compliance:

a. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle

and trailer.

b. Use proper safety equipment and follow procedures to

prevent damage to vehicles and property.

3. Vehicle Maintenance:

a. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the

trailer.

b. Report any major mechanical issues to the appropriate

department for repair.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a car hauler or in a similar

transportation role is preferred.

• Experience with loading and securing various types of vehicles.

• Must be 21 years old

• Must have a valid Driver License and be highly proficient in

obeying all traffic laws

• Must have a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
