Job Overview
The region assistant store manager will support day-to-day operations and achieve critical metrics including safety, sales, parts & service growth, customer experience and overall profitability. Provide guidance to retail sales teams to drive trailer & truck bed growth.
Essential Responsibilities
Store Support Support stores missing key positions including Sales/Administrative/Store manager to assist in day-to-day store operations.
Drive Store Revenue Owning sales results through supervising sales team in meeting and exceeding personal and team revenue, unit, and margin goals. Assist Store Manager in driving total revenue, trailer sales, service revenue, parts revenue & ancillary revenue. Special emphasis on trailer & truck bed sales.
Customer Service Lead the team to foster an environment of accountability for customer service, owning customer review results. Actively lead the store team by personally demonstrating customer focus, recommending problem resolution, and building customer brand loyalty through exemplary service with a smile.
Control Expenses Reinforce company directives, policies and procedures for inventory control, supply purchasing, labor, and other controllable expenses.
Safety & Security Lead by example and ensure a safe & secure store environment for all employees, customers, and visitors. Monitor all safety equipment maintenance and see it is used as designed. Participate in training employees on safety policies and practices and enforces compliance.
• Participate at the management level to ensure the store is opened and closed each business day to ensure proper security and customer service. Help create effective schedules. This is shared accountability with the Store Staff/ Manager.
• Coach and lead sales employees, including personal sales, to meet or exceed dealership sales and margin goals.
• Assist in management of the parts and service department including the warranty process to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded, productivity is high, and customers have a positive experience.
• Ensure that all store standards are consistently met including, but not limited to safety, cleanliness, security, customer service, cash handling, banking, regulatory compliance, etc.
• Partnering with PSS owning parts inventory. Ensure that products are ordered in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that products are properly received, stocked, and priced when they come in. Including assembly of trailers.
• Maintain complete and accurate inventory details with photos in IMS to support marketing.
Education – Experience Required
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Prior sales experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Supervisory experience
• Must be able to obtain required Sales License in states requiring. Example: CA,AZ,NV,UT,TX,AR
Preferred Education and Experience
• Associate’s degree, Trade School Diploma
• Three to Five years’ supervisory experience in a retail or sales environment
Physical Demands

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, move over uneven surfaces.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Occasional operation of computers, cash register, telephone, and printer/copier/scanner/fax.
• Regular operation of automobiles tractors, forklifts, and other power equipment.
Travel
Extensive multi-state travel with significant overnight travel by vehicle or airplane and extensive overnight stay(s) will be required. Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License are required. Flexibility to support assigned territory with some limited notice is expected.
