Paint Supervisor

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in painting and manufacturing operations while leading a team of hourly employees. This role will be responsible for leading efficient manufacturing practices. Most importantly, the candidate will be accountable for delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost throughout the department.

Job Responsibilities

• Enforce all company procedures / work standards. Make sure team members are producing at company standards and that they are following company procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Make sure all team members are trained to effectively perform their job duties. Develop and train back up team members for key jobs. Assist in building teams and promoting teamwork.
• Ensure all safety rules are being followed; confirms all accidents are investigated and reported properly.
• Open communication with all departments concerning quality, manpower, equipment, production needs and material concerns.
• Ensure all 5S and housekeeping requirements are being followed.

Knowledge and Skills

• 3 years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in both written and oral formats.
• Self-directed and motivated to accomplish tasks for the company.
• Detail oriented
• Must be able to use common business computer software and perform data entry and retrieval onto manufacturing/inventory control databases.
• An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers and other employees.
• Must exercise continuous leadership to focus plant efforts on priorities.
