Material Handler 1

Job Description:

As a Material Handler 2, you will play a crucial role in our Plant operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve the efficient movement, organization, and storage of materials within our facility, utilizing both motorized and non-motorized equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Movement: Move materials between production and storage areas using motorized vehicles (forklifts) and smaller motorized equipment.
• Inventory Management: Inspect materials for defects, quantity, and quality.
• Stock Location and Movement: Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and perform regular maintenance to ensure safety.
• Packaging and Shipping: Package, label, and process shipments, ensuring accuracy and damage prevention.
• Receiving and Shipping: Load and unload materials for shipping and receiving, verifying accuracy and identifying defects.
• Equipment Usage: Utilize hand tools and equipment to prepare materials for shipping, storage, and receiving.

Required Skills:

• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs or more.
• Attention to Detail: Accurate and precise in tasks.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with colleagues.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to operate and maintain motorized equipment.
• Valid Driver's License: Required for operating motorized vehicles.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience operating a tractor, forklift, and other motorized equipment.
