Role Description The Case Manager/Legal Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role supports attorneys by managing personal injury case files, gathering and organizing medical records, police reports, and other documentation, and maintaining accurate case notes and timelines. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers, scheduling appointments, tracking treatment status, and ensuring all required documents are obtained and filed. The Case Manager/Legal Assistant also assists with preparing demand packages, drafting basic correspondence, organizing materials for negotiation or litigation, and updating the case management system. The role requires consistent follow-up, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to excellent client service.
Qualifications
- Experience in case management or legal assistant work, preferably in personal injury or another litigation-focused practice area.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines at once.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and external parties.
- Proficiency with law firm or case management software, as well as general computer skills (e.g., MS Office, document management tools).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in file maintenance, documentation, and data entry.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, collaborate with a legal team, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Prior law firm experience and knowledge of personal injury processes, insurance claims, and medical record handling are highly beneficial, but not necessary. We will provide training
