Routing Manager

Overview:

The Routing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and logistics operations of our party rental services, ensuring timely and efficient routing of equipment to various event locations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of logistics, knowledge of the party rental industry and equipment, and transportation management, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including sales, operations, warehouse and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Routing Optimization:

• Develop and implement efficient routing plans for the delivery, setup, takedown, and retrieval of rental equipment.
• Analyze delivery routes to minimize travel time, reduce transportation costs, and ensure on-time delivery

Fleet Management:

• Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of the delivery fleet to ensure safe and reliable transportation. (registrations, safety inspections)
• Manage maintenance of vehicles of ensure timely repairs and servicing of delivery vehicles.
• Management of sub rentals for additional deliveries.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the sales, warehouse and operations teams to understand customer needs and delivery timelines.
• Liaison with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and address any logistical challenges.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track delivery performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on delivery efficiency, route performance, and vehicle utilization.

Customer Service:

• Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Address any delivery-related inquiries or issues raised by customers professionally and promptly.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Implement best practices for safe driving and vehicle operation among drivers.

Staff Management:

• Train and supervise delivery personnel to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team effectiveness.
• Schedule daily/weekly schedules for drivers and driver helpers

Experience:

• Either experience in Tent and Party rental industry or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in logistics management, delivery routing, or fleet operations, preferably in the party rental or events industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
