Job Duties
Scheduling/Aide
- Maintain clinic supplies
- Prepare and sanitize treatment spaces and equipment
- Maintain treatment spaces and waiting area
- Contact and schedule equipment maintenance
- Assist with patient transport
- Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, visitors, referral sources, co-workers, and all other parties
- Courteously receive and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails
- Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information
- Distribute mail
- Scan, fax, and print documents
- Maintain patient charts
- Opening and closing duties
- Attend meetings as required
- Other clinic duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong preference for a high school diploma or equivalent but not required.
- Prefer prior experience in a medical office setting or other customer service-related field
- Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality
- General knowledge of MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Comfort in utilizing Outlook internet/e-mail.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Nonsupervisory: care of equipment, machines, supplies; prevention of unnecessary expense, waste, loss of time and damage to equipment; and order and cleanliness of the department/facility
- Must know the general principles and laws relative to medical administration; department/company policies, procedures, and regulations; layout of the department/building; be aware of inter- and intradepartmental/company communications
- Strong preference for a high school diploma or equivalent but not required.
- Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office products, the Internet, and the ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and co-workers in a professional manner.
- Excellent phone etiquette and in-person customer service abilities.
- Able to adapt and thrive in a changing and fast paced environment.
