Duties
- Provide expert nursing care to patients across various departments, geriatrics, and specialty units such as ophthalmology and behavioral health.
- Supervise and support nursing staff by delegating tasks, mentoring new team members, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
- Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV infusions, and aseptic techniques to maintain optimal patient safety.
- Oversee documentation of medical records using EMR/EHR Point Click Care to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Lead discharge planning efforts and collaborate with case management for post-acute care transitions and home health services.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed diligently; oversee laboratory specimen collection/processing and maintain sterile processing standards.Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems Point Click Care familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
