Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in Osceola, AR. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive occupational health services to team members, including conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, and performing routine wellness evaluations. Daily responsibilities include taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment and return-to-work plans in collaboration with medical directors as needed. The role also involves coordinating care with external healthcare providers, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, and ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Nurse Practitioner will educate employees on health promotion, injury prevention, and chronic disease management, participate in safety and wellness initiatives, and support emergency response efforts within the facility.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arkansas, with national board certification (e.g., FNP, ANP, AGNP) or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care in occupational health, primary care, or emergency/urgent care settings.
- Experience or strong interest in occupational health, industrial or manufacturing environments, including familiarity with workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements (OSHA or similar).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate employees, and build trust across diverse workgroups.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize in a fast-paced industrial setting, and exercise sound clinical judgment in urgent or emergent situations.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications for documentation, reporting, and data tracking.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or occupational health certifications (e.g., COHN, COHN-S) are beneficial.
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; prior experience in occupational health, emergency, or primary care is strongly preferred.
