Big River Steel LLC seeks a FT Project Engineer Electric & Automation (Ref# AK0425) in Osceola, AR.
Job Duties: Responsible for computer systems, PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, VFD drives/motors, measurement systems, and other control equipment; Coordinate company, contractor, and vendor activities to install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications; Work directly with all maintenance and operations personnel in a fastpaced environment to help develop a safety focused, productive roll mill team, support electrical teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability; and Manage the design, development, implementation, and procurement of hardware and/or software for level 1 improvement projects and provide support for other disciplines’ projects.
Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related field of study plus 5 years of experience in job offered or related automation experience in the metals industry. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the job offered or related automation experience in the metals industry. Must have 5 years of experience in the following skills: Plant design, construction, and/or operation for metallurgical plants using Eplan; PLC programing, data acquisition/analysis, and HMI programming; Server and network device configuration and maintenance; Managing safety, process, documentation, installation, and quality of proprietary software and products; and Diagnosing and correcting issues with systems, components, and controllers.
