Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of semi trucks and trailers. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and specialized tools.
- Replace or repair vehicle systems including brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, air brakes, HVAC systems, and alignment components.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks to keep trucks in top condition.
- Utilize automotive electrical system repair techniques for troubleshooting complex electrical issues in trucks.
- Maintain detailed service records and follow safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Diesel technician degree or certificate preferred or minimum 2 years experience in the industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery.
- Familiarity with automotive repair tools including power tools, hand tools, alignment equipment, and welding apparatus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail.
