Are you an experienced body shop leader ready to take charge of a growing operation? Big Rig Body Shop is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee our facility, technicians, and customer relationships. This role is key to ensuring efficiency, profitability, and top-quality repairs for our heavy-duty truck and big rig customers. What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent communication and satisfaction
- Overseeing facility cleanliness, safety, and organization to maintain a professional work environment
- Leading and managing body shop technicians, including task assignments, coaching, and performance monitoring
- Developing smooth job flow processes to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
- Monitoring revenue, labor costs, and parts usage to ensure profitability and cost control
- Conducting quality control inspections and enforcing safety standards
- Implementing training and development programs to enhance technician skills and foster career growth
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of body shop management experience (big rig or heavy-duty truck focus preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide a high-performing team
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction
- Solid knowledge of body shop processes, repair techniques, and tools
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Financial acumen for managing shop revenue, budgets, and cost controls
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certifications in repair/management preferred
Work Environment
- Split between office duties (customer service, reporting, admin) and shop oversight (technician support, operations management)
- Ability to thrive in a busy, noisy environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and tools
