What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Member Receiver - Pueblo position at Big R Stores?
Almost Anything, Big R’s Got It!, and we want YOU to join the Big R Team. Are you detail oriented and organized? Can you work on your feet and lift products regularly? We are looking for an individual that understands how being organized and paying attention to detail is extremely important to the regular operations of our business. This person will be required to become forklift certified, able to lift 50 pounds consistently, and work as part of a team to ensure product and inventory is received and shipped throughout the store and company locations. Computer knowledge and proper communication are integral skills for this position.
Must be at least 21 yrs of age to process firearms in receiving.
- Forklift Certification
- Provide Friendly & Helpful Customer Service at all times. Possess a Positive Attitude and Professionalism.
- All Associates are expected to conform to the Scheduled work hours and shifts set by Store Management. Must be capable of working on their feet for long periods of time, and capable of Standing, Walking, Bending and/or kneeling, consistently throughout the workday.
- All associates should be capable of pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance consistently and sometimes 50 pounds throughout the workday.
Additional Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
- General cleaning and upkeep of all areas of the store
- Assist Customers and co-workers, when available, throughout the workday. Including inventory stocking and control, department upkeep based on Company directions.
- Answer phones, 2-way radio calls, make announcements over PA system, with clear, pleasant and professional methods of communication.
- Computer & Point of Sale system knowledge - including transaction processing, product lookup, inventory verification and availability.
- Background Check required - any irregularities must be approved by management.
- General knowledge / experience is desired - including Federal Firearms License, Shipping & receiving, Forklift/pallet jack operation, consistent lifting of 50 pounds.
