Big R is looking for a candidate who will buy and manage a subset of brands in the Men's, Women's, and Kids footwear dept.
- $80,000-$90,000 Annual Salary
- This is not a remote position; all work is done from Big R’s home office in Pueblo, CO.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase and manage a variety of Men’s Women’s and Kids footwear and brands for Big R’s 37 locations
- Oversee order placement and tracking to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
- Identify opportunities and risks in season through analyzing sales performance
- Ability to calculate gross margin, turn and OTB
- Review sales results to strategize markdowns and manage aged inventory
- Lead and support buying assistant
- Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on pricing, RA’s, terms, and discounts
- Ability to forecast market trends and perform consumer research
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
- Report to Purchasing Manager daily
- Overnight travel 30 nights annually
- Other responsibilities as called upon
