Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
- Perform repairs on vehicle engines systems, diesel engines, and powertrain components with precision and attention to detail.
- Repair and maintain vehicle suspension systems, alignments, wheel balancing, and steering components to ensure optimal handling.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features such as collision avoidance sensors and lane departure systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service center experience as a Service Technician or Mechanic with a focus on automotive diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electronic control modules.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system calibrations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools and oscilloscopes for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, engines, and overall automotive repair.
- Prior experience with welding or fabrication is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
