The RN Nurse Unit Manager will oversee the daily clinical operations of their assigned unit, ensuring the delivery of quality resident care and compliance with all applicable regulations. This role involves direct supervision of nursing staff, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, and collaboration with leadership to promote a culture of safety, service, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the unit.
- Monitor resident care to ensure it meets established standards and individual care plans.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and infection control standards.
- Participate in care plan development, quality assurance initiatives, and resident admissions/discharges.
- Address resident and family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in NJ required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
