Duties
- Safely operate trucks and ground maintenance equipment, including mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools to support landscaping projects.
- Transport crew members, tools, plants, and materials to designated job sites efficiently and securely.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, tree trimming, gardening, planting, and hardscape installation.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Support landscape tasks like irrigation system setup and repair, pesticide management, and grounds upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used during each shift.
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate hand tools, lawn care machinery, tree care equipment, snow plowing machines, and hardscape tools confidently.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, pest management practices, and lawn care techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating trucks or larger vehicles is a plus.
- Strong adherence to safety procedures and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and performing physically demanding tasks outdoors.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
